Folk House — ფოლკლორის სახლი — was born from a simple wish: to keep the Georgian-Megrelian table alive in the way our grandparents knew it. Long, loud, generous, and full of song.

Tucked on Tamar Mepe street in Zugdidi, our doors open at twelve and rarely quiet down before midnight. Inside you'll find handwoven rugs from Samegrelo, clay qvevri sunk into the cellar, and a kitchen that hasn't taken a shortcut in fifteen years.

Our chefs cook from family recipes; our bread is baked in a wood-fired tone; our meats grill over grapevine coals. The wines are made by neighbors, poured generously, and accompanied — if the night calls for it — by a three-voice krimanchuli from the table next door.
